Menora Charity and PHC present international guest speaker Rabbi Shalom Hammer, who will speak on the topic of mental health.
Rabbi Hammer ‘is the founder and director of Makom Meshutaf which offers non-denominational and non-coercive Jewish educational programming for Pre-Military Academies throughout Israel. Since his daughter Gila died from suicide at the age of 18, Rabbi Hammer champions mental health awareness and suicide prevention worldwide. He has authored ten books, the most recent being his Gila Spreads Joy series of children’s books in memory of Gila. He is a renowned lecturer in Israel and abroad.’
