Dorrith Sim fled Nazi Germany for Scotland as a small child. Her only command of English was the sentence ‘I have a handkerchief in my pocket.’ She put every new English word she learned into the sentence – ‘I have a dog in my pocket, I have a house in my pocket.’

Her experience formed the basis of the book ‘In My Pocket’. The In My Pocket Project has recently been launched in Perth by Eli Rabinowitz, the workshops for children being presented by the WE ARE HERE! Foundation at the WA Museum Boola Bardip.
