Mitzvah Day, WIZO WA

As part of Mitzvah Day Australia, WIZO WA is proud to be partnering with the Shenton Park Dog Refuge to support dogs waiting for their forever homes.

The WIZO community came together to collect much-needed donations, helping provide comfort, warmth and care for some of our most vulnerable four-legged friends. Donations included washed blankets, sheets and towels, dog toys, quality dog food and tinned tuna, all of which will make a meaningful difference to the welfare of the dogs at the refuge.

Mitzvah Day is about putting values into action through kindness, compassion and community service. This collaboration provided a wonderful opportunity for WIZO WA members and supporters to extend that spirit beyond our own community and help an organisation dedicated to caring for animals in need.

We are grateful to everyone who contributed to this initiative. Every donation, no matter how small, helps ensure these deserving dogs receive the love, care and comfort they need while they wait for a new home.

Together, we demonstrated that acts of kindness truly make a difference, one good deed at a time. 🐾💙
